Meet Karen Davis, The Winner Of Our Hear For The Holidays Giveaway

Last November, we invited local people in South Louisiana to take part in a life-changing competition.

It awarded a special person with a pair of brand-new hearing aids, as well as access to our expert audiological care.

Each year, when we open the nominations, we have no idea what to expect or how many people will take part.

But this year, we were truly in awe by all of the heartfelt nominations, which had us teary-eyed.

Hear for the Holidays is our way of giving back to the community in South Louisiana and I am so grateful to be able to continue doing what I love – helping people.

The process was difficult, as it was especially challenging choosing our winner, but this has moved us in more ways than we can imagine, and we are so appreciative of each and every one of you.

With that said, we are finally pleased to announce the winner of our 2021 Hear for the Holidays giveaway as…. Karen Davis, nominated by her son, Jonas.

Our Winner, Karen Davis:

Karen has been Jonas’s caregiver since birth, as he has required supportive care all his life.

Notably, Jonas suffers from a hearing loss and understands the struggles like no other. When he noticed that his mom’s hearing was slowly getting worse, Jonas felt obliged to do something about it, since he knew his mom wouldn’t.

With that said, Jonas wanted to give back to his mom and surprise her with a gift of a lifetime, especially for someone as deserving as Karen.

In this touching video, Jonas read aloud why he felt his mom deserved to win. Saying,

“My mom takes great care of me and I think it’s time she gets to take care of herself. She has always had a slight hearing loss but she said as she is getting older, her hearing is getting worse. She will do whatever she has to to take care of me, like spend lots of money on hearing aids and medication, but she puts off spending money on herself.”

Well, Jonas, after reading all the nominations, we thought Karen deserved to win too!

Karen received a comprehensive hearing assessment and was fitted with premium hearing aid technology.

After the events of the past two years, this is our way of saying thank you to the community, ensuring no one has to endure a life without hearing their loved ones.

For that matter, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who took part in this giveaway.
