Meet Rachel Fitzmorris, Au.D., L-AUD, CCC-A
Rachel Fitzmorris, Au.D., L-AUD, CCC-A is an experienced clinical audiologist who is excited to join the SLENT Hearing & Balance team and provide excellent care for patients in the Mandeville and Slidell areas. Rachel was born and raised in Kenner, Louisiana and moved to the Northshore thirteen years ago. She completed a one year clinical externship at Creel Hearing Center before graduating with her Doctor of Audiology degree in May 2011 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to this, she attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2007. She has completed internships at several audiology and ENT practices in the greater New Orleans area.
For the past thirteen years she was the lead clinical audiologist at the Ochsner Covington Clinic on the Northshore. Dr. Fitzmorris is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Dr. Fitzmorris will be providing pediatric and adult patients with diagnostic hearing evaluations, custom hearing protection, hearing aids, and evaluation and treatment of vertigo. She also enjoys educating the public on the effects of hearing loss in all aspects of life and empowering patients to take control of their hearing healthcare to improve their quality of life. Dr. Fitzmorris and her children live in Covington where she enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with family, and volunteering in her local community.
