Meet J.J. Martinez, Au.D., FAAA

J.J. was born in Wichita, KS and was brought up in a Marine Corps family. Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the Marine Corps after high school and was stationed in Camp Lejeune, NC.

After going to college at Southeastern Louisiana University, he went to graduate school and got his doctorate degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA.

Soon after, he started his career in audiology and became board certified in Audiology.

On an average day as the director of audiology at SLENT, he leads the Audiology department in fulfilling the hearing and balance needs of the community. He collaborates closely with other department heads of SLENT to ensure well rounded and complete patient care. He establishes clinical program goals. Identifies opportunities for improvement in the clinic to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and patient satisfaction.

Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, cooking, working out, gardening, wood working, and camping with family/friends.
